On the Nigerian Independence Day service of 2017 - October 1st, 2017, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) world headquarters in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, Daddy GO (General Overseer of the Church), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, said the testimony of how the Church miraculously bought the Camp land for the Church.

According to what he said, he decided not to borrow fund for the land which they originally wanted to buy at Iju, Lagos. The Iju land was worth N54,000, although he didn't have N54 at the time. Instead of giving up, he held on to his faith and it eventually paid off.

According to the General Overseer, "When the Ebute-meta was filled up, I asked that the church elders should go and look for another bigger land. So, they finally got some land somewhere around Iju-ishaga for N54,000. It was so funny, I didn't even have N54 at the time. My elders were furious with me when I refused to borrow. However, had our church been the kind where they vote, I would have been impeached because I told them that I would not borrow."

"Some days later, one of our members who was going to Ibadan city from Lagos saw the vacant land and made and inquiry from where he found out that the owners were ready to give it up for N6,000. I asked the member not to haggle the price, we'll pay, and without delay, we quickly paid for the glorious land. That becomes our Redemption Camp today.
